The Heritage Village captures what it was like to live and work in a rural village from 1940-1950.

This decade, now fifty years in the past, was a decade of war and peace. It was also a decade of transition, when roads, electricity and new technologies were changing rural life forever.

The Village includes a full range of restored buildings, complete with artifacts from the period, and is staffed by people in period clothing.

One of the buildings is a cookhouse where visitors can eat traditional meals.
